I am so happy to be offering a weekly class to dive a little deeper into the fun of hand building AND decorating with clay. The previous events with this format have been SO much fun, and I can't wait to do it again!

A series of weekly classes was how I came to fall in love with ceramics, as you get an opportunity to ponder, think, try again and explore the craft more deeply. You also get the fantastic benefit of meeting with a lovely group of people regularly as you share something fun and new.

THIS SERIES ~ 10.30 - 12 Thursday Mornings

Week 1 ~ 26th February

Hand Build a set of Little Bowls

Week 2 ~ 5th March

Decorate Bowls from last week with Sgraffito

Week 3 ~ 12th March

Hand Build Little Plates and Spoons

Week 4 ~ 19th March

Decorate plates and spoons from last week with Sgraffito

Week 5 ~ 26th March

**Break week to allow for Drying & Bisque Firing

Week 6 ~ 2nd April

Resist Wax and Glaze

Who this Class is for;

Whether you are an absolute beginner to clay, or have tried clay before, this class is to teach some foundation techniques to help you create a beautiful ceramics to treasure for a long time to come. (or to develop the skills so you can keep playing!)

What we do;

Participants will be given 2-3 different clays which will help you to discover a range of interesting results. Over 5 weeks we will be making a range of serve ware by hand, with the option to add handles or decorative ideas if you would like to. We will have dedicated time for surface decoration, and an opportunity to learn my method for glazing.

This class series offers a wonderful creative opportunity, with the bonus of having something beautiful at the end. All pieces will be fired for you at my Kilcarnup Studio to collect once ready.

Class Information

All Classes are held at my home & Studio in beautiful Kilcarnup just 8 minutes from town.

In warm weather we are seated at the ‘Viking Table’ in the garden shade, and it cooler months I keep groups small so that we can go inside if necessary.

Classes are approximately 1.5 hours duration 

Booking Information

Although most classes have sold out in the past, a minimum of 4 participants are required for the course to go ahead. A full refund will be given if I need to cancel the class. Maximum group size is 10

In the event you cancel for your own reasons, no refunds can be given within 14 days of the class date.

After booking, you will receive a confirmation email 1 or 2 days before the event to confirm any particular information on the weather conditions, or anything you will need for the class.
