The Colina Collection
The ‘colina Collection’ is developed to fully express a range of new colours and focus on the beauty of form.
By extending my technique to include adding stains to clay slips, the opportunity for beautiful colours was incredible. Simultaneously I had been looking closely at variations of wheel thrown forms, and found that the 2 new developments had found a perfect match together. The Colina collection embraces gradations of colour and shapely form.
Colina is the Spanish translation for hill, which reflects the original study of rounded vases in this collection.
Possibly the most versatile item I make, the Moonglade cups are a beautiful and useful addition to any collection, both as a cup and a small bowl.
Hand Crafted
Wheel thrown with a beautiful clay, blended for its unique texture and tone, the cups are fired to high temperatures for durability. Externally the cups have 3 coats of unique colour handpainted and trimmed for effect with a natural clay accent.
Unique Design
Each small batch of Moonglade cups has a variety of designs.
These ones are part of an exciting exploration into a new range of coloured clay slips. Within each colour sets there are nuanced variations, making up stunning colour-ways when put together.
Each piece has been glazed internally and across the lip in Matte White.
Size
The Moonglade cups are approximately 7cm high and 10cm diameter.
A versatile stacking form, suitable for those who enjoy a small sized green tea, coffee or cacao. Particularly good for taking on picnics :)
