The Boheme Collection

The 'Boheme Collection' is inspired by whimsical characters created for my recent collection of sculptural work.

I was excited to extract some of the beautiful tones, textures and ideas to build on the concept and enhance the overall collection.

Much of the work relies on a gritty clay with heavily speckled pattern, to tone down colours and give an almost antiquated effect. The range includes clay slips, specially blended underglaze colours and matte glazes to produce a limited set of colours, quite consistent through the collection.

Focusing on form and pattern, most work in this range uses extensive sgraffito carving, which is all done carefully by hand with fine tools to form a beautiful balance between a sense of rustic and intricate.
